Description

Package Overview

“Emotion in Stone” is a deeply introspective and expressive sculpting workshop designed to help participants tap into the power of emotion through the tactile medium of stone. Rooted in the Zimbabwean Shona sculpting tradition—renowned for its emotional depth and narrative power—this workshop explores how to embody abstract and personal feelings through form, flow, texture, and gesture.

Participants are guided by master sculptors through the process of conceptualizing, carving, and refining a sculpture that speaks not only to aesthetics but to feeling—whether that be grief, joy, love, serenity, longing, or reflection. Through storytelling, cultural symbolism, and hands-on stone-carving, each piece becomes a personal monument of emotional memory.

This session is ideal for art therapists, creatives, individuals seeking healing through creation, and collectors or beginners wanting to experience art beyond technique.
